A Plea for Hope: Anita Brako's Journey

Help Anita get the life-saving kidney treatment she desperately needs

Anita Brako

Anita's Story

At just 32 years old, Anita Brako from Ashanti Bekwai should be building her dreams, caring for her family, and living life to its fullest. Instead, her life has been overtaken by the devastating effects of kidney disease.

Anita's journey is a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges kidney patients in Ghana face every day. Without access to affordable dialysis and transplant services, many patients like Anita are left fighting for their lives with limited resources and support.

The cost of regular dialysis sessions alone is overwhelming for most Ghanaian families. Each session costs between GH₵300-500, and patients typically need 12-16 sessions per month. For Anita and her family, this financial burden has meant impossible choices between treatment and basic necessities like food and shelter.

Despite these challenges, Anita continues to fight with remarkable courage and determination. She draws strength from her family, her faith, and the knowledge that people like you are willing to stand with her in this battle.
