Providing life-saving dialysis support at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
At Adomah Kidney Care Foundation, our mission to provide life-saving support for individuals battling kidney disease is brought to life through direct interventions where the need is greatest.
Our work at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) represents one of our most impactful programs. Through partnerships with medical professionals and hospital administrators, we provide financial assistance for dialysis treatments, supply essential medical equipment, and offer emotional support to patients and their families.
The reality facing kidney disease patients at KATH and hospitals across Ghana is stark: many cannot afford the cost of regular dialysis sessions, medications, or the special diets required for managing their condition. Our foundation bridges this gap by providing direct financial support and connecting patients with the resources they need to continue their treatment.
Through this program, we have supported over 65 patients at KATH, funding more than 120 dialysis sessions and providing critical medical supplies. Each session funded means another day of life for a patient who might otherwise go without treatment. Our goal is to expand this program to reach even more patients across the hospital's nephrology department.
