Kidney Health Outreach — Asante Bekwai

About This Event

Following the tremendous community response to our August 8 screening event, the Adomah Kidney Care Foundation is returning to Asante Bekwai on August 20, 2025 with an expanded kidney health outreach program. This follow-up event extends our reach further into the community.

This second visit demonstrates the foundation's commitment to sustained engagement — not just one-off events. We return to follow up with individuals identified in previous screenings, while also reaching new community members who were unable to attend earlier.

Expanded Program Features

• Comprehensive kidney screenings — Including blood pressure, blood sugar, urine protein, and creatinine levels
• Follow-up consultations — For individuals screened at the August 8 event who need further evaluation
• Kidney disease awareness talks — In both English and Twi for maximum community reach
• Diet and lifestyle workshops — Practical demonstrations using local foods and affordable ingredients
• Free educational materials — Take-home pamphlets on kidney health in local languages
• Referral services — Connecting at-risk individuals with nearby hospitals and treatment centers

Building a Healthier Community

The Asante Bekwai community has shown incredible receptiveness to our kidney health message. Through these outreach events, we have already identified several individuals with previously undiagnosed kidney issues who are now receiving proper medical care.

Our goal is to make Asante Bekwai a model community for kidney health awareness — where every adult knows their risk factors, understands the importance of regular screenings, and has access to the care they need.
