In Loving Memory: Kenneth Abu (2001 – 2024), A Valiant Fighter Against Kidney Disease

Abu, born in 2001 in the Asante Region of Ghana, faced the immense challenges of kidney failure and high blood pressure with remarkable courage. His story, which we shared on our “Causes” page, resonated deeply with many, highlighting the silent suffering and immense financial burden that kidney disease places on individuals and their families. He bravely battled his condition, enduring rigorous dialysis treatments for months, always holding onto hope for a better tomorrow.

Despite his immense suffering and the daily struggle to access consistent care, Abu’s spirit remained resilient. He inspired us with his determination and his heartfelt plea for support, which truly underscored the urgent need for our collective efforts.

Abu’s passing is a stark and painful reminder of the devastating impact of kidney disease, particularly when vital support systems diminish and access to advanced care, like transplantation, remains out of reach for so many. It strengthens our resolve at the Adomah Kidney Care Foundation to tirelessly fight for better access to treatment and to ensure no one else faces such a dire fate due to lack of resources.

We were honored to provide support during his challenging journey, and his story continues to fuel our dedication to our mission.

Our deepest condolences go out to Abu’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

The Adomah Kidney Care Foundation honors Abu’s memory by rededicating ourselves to our core mission: to provide financial assistance for dialysis and transplants, promote kidney health awareness, and advocate for equitable healthcare so that other precious lives can be saved.

With heavy hearts,

The Adomah Kidney Care Foundation
